Job Title: Support Worker - Intellectual Disabilities
This role involves delivering residential and respite care to support individuals with intellectual disabilities. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing person-centred care within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver residential and respite care, supporting daily living, personal care, and household tasks.
* Act as a key contact for assigned individuals, liaising with families and multidisciplinary teams.
* Develop and implement tailored programs to teach self-help, domestic, and social skills.
* Support individuals with challenging behaviours through evidence-based approaches.
* Administer and document prescribed medications accurately.
* Guide Care Assistants and ensure a cohesive team approach.
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualifications: Level 7 degree in Social Studies or a related field.
* Registration: CORU registered or in the process of registration.
* Experience: Background in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or similar settings.
* Licensing: Full drivers license with access to a vehicle.
* Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
* Attributes: Motivated, empathetic, and committed to advocacy.
