Clare, Ireland, and reporting to the Product Development Engineering Manager, the Software Development Engineer will assist in developing and maintaining our next generation applications. The Role
The Software Development Engineer will work in one of our Spirometry application project teams, to help drive continuous roadmap delivery. Spirometry is a common office test used to assess how well your lungs work by measuring how much air you inhale, how much you exhale, and how quickly you exhale. It is used to diagnose asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other conditions that affect breathing.
The Team
The Software, Mechanical, and Hardware Engineers that make up the Spirometry Team will work with the Software Development Engineer to advance the product roadmap by helping the team create new features for our spirometry applications.
Responsibilities
* Projects: Designing and developing aspects of the software roadmap; assisting the project team in translating requirements into clear, actionable packages; ensuring project documentation is delivered at each release point.
* People: Operating in a cooperative, respectful manner within the project team; maintaining a positive and motivating outlook.
* Process: Operating in an agile environment, delivering tasks on a sprint basis; assisting in planning, scheduling, and delivering software releases; ensuring all work complies with our Quality Management System.
Key Requirements
* 3rd level degree or equivalent in Software Engineering or related discipline.
* Minimum of 2 years relevant software engineering experience, preferably including 1 year of C# experience.
* Demonstrated competence in own area; ability to work with moderate guidance.
* Effective communication skills and a cooperative attitude.
Advantageous Skills
* Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET and DevOps.
* Experience with SQL Server and SQL Server Express.
* Experience with WPF.
