This exciting opportunity is for the position of Head of Shops with Wurth Ireland.
While the role has a nationwide remit, applicants should reside in the South/South-West region, as regular attendance at our Head Office in Limerick is required.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee performance, operations, and people development, ensuring each of our 21 stores nationwide runs like clockwork - while helping to shape the future of how W u rth Ireland connects with its customers.
Key Responsibilities Leadership Strategy Lead and implement the growth strategy for the Shop network, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
Create and execute annual plans and KPI targets for all stores within the district.
Support the implementation of the company strategy across the district, ensuring consistent operational standards and brand alignment.
Operational Financial Management Oversee location strategy, including property negotiations, lease agreements, shop fit-outs, refurbishments, new openings, and re-openings, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets.
Hold full responsibility for sales performance, cost control, and operating results within defined financial guidelines.
Conduct shop tours with the Area Shop Sales Managers to monitor store performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Analyse and optimise stock movements to improve product availability and minimize waste.
People Management Development Manage all Area Shop Sales Managers and Pick Up Shop employees providing direct leadership, coaching, and performance development.
Foster a positive, motivated, and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and employee engagement.
Support the Shop leadership team in managing, developing, and retaining talent across the network.
Planning Projects Plan and monitor both qualitative and quantitative targets to meet regional and company goals.
Oversee staffing structures and resource planning to ensure operational efficiency.
Support strategic and operational projects through analysis, reporting, and constructive feedback.
Prepare for and actively participate in Area Shop Sales Manager meetings, contributing insights and best practices.
Qualifications Experience Proven management experience in a B2B, retail or multi-site environment.
A strong understanding of omnichannel retail operations and customer experience integration.
Proven leadership, communication, and people management and development skills.
A strategic, analytical mindset with the ability to turn insight into action.
A full Irish driving licence and flexibility to travel nationwide.
