Job Description
This role aligns the firm’s cybersecurity, access management, controls, and resiliency teams. The group proactively partners with all lines of business to enable them to design, adopt, and integrate controls; deliver processes and solutions efficiently; and drive automation of controls. The primary goal is to enable the business by maintaining protection, stability, and resilience.
Role Overview
As a Cloud Security Engineer within JPMorgan Chase's Cybersecurity & Technology Controls (CTC) group, you will ensure the secure and compliant adoption of Public Cloud. You will identify and manage risks, analyze security issues, and contribute to the CTC Product Security team, particularly aligned with the Azure Cloud Enablement (ACE) programme.
Responsibilities
1. Lead the development and improvement of long-term risk and control strategies to secure information assets in the public cloud.
2. Conduct risk-based assessments related to cloud technology controls, platforms, and architecture.
3. Collaborate with business technology teams to understand and implement control requirements across cloud architectures.
4. Review infrastructure-as-code for security compliance during cloud platform development.
5. Support security programs through documentation and agile methodologies.
6. Coordinate with wider CTC teams to ensure platform integration with security operations, threat intelligence, IAM, and network security.
Qualifications and Skills
Required
* Strong understanding of securing public cloud technologies.
* Team-oriented, adaptable to virtual and in-person environments.
* Self-disciplined, proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
* Excellent communication skills for engaging with management, peers, regulators, and stakeholders.
* Ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
Preferred
* Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Hands-on experience in cloud engineering or architecture.
* Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
* Knowledge of DevOps or CI/CD practices.
