Transaction Legal Director – Aircraft Leasing

A leading global aircraft leasing company is seeking an experienced Transaction Legal Director to join its Dublin-based legal team. This is a senior-level opportunity for a commercially minded aviation lawyer who enjoys driving transactions from negotiation through execution in a fast-paced, international environment.
The Role
As Transaction Legal Director, you will:
* Lead and manage the legal execution of aircraft leasing, trading, and financing transactions from Letter of Intent to contract completion.
* Negotiate and draft complex commercial agreements with airlines, financiers, manufacturers, and other counterparties.
* Coordinate with cross-functional internal teams (commercial, technical, finance, trading, and risk) and external advisors to ensure seamless execution.
* Advise on and manage airline defaults, repossessions, disputes, and litigation matters as they arise.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by updating company legal templates, policies, and procedures.
The Person
* Qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction (e.g. Ireland, UK, US, etc.)
* Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in aviation finance or aircraft leasing
* Proven track record in managing and negotiating complex cross-border transactions
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead internal deal teams and liaise with senior stakeholders
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and commercially astute, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
