The Demand Planner will play a key role ensuring accurate ordering and availability of vital stock support the sales team.The role requires a candidate who will be:Detail-orientedProactiveEager to expand Knowledge and SkillsIf you are ready for a challenge, we want to hear from you.Apply today and discover what your career could look like with Sysco Ireland.Key Accountabilities:To ensure accurate ordering of product to support salesForecast to reduce excess stock holding, while maximising availabilityEnsure that all product support documentation is received to support deliveryTo improve profitability within the department on excess stock and dumpingWork with the suppliers to ensure that product supply is effectiveAssist in ensuring the Replenishment Department meets and exceeds the targets set for itMaintain a good relationship with all suppliersTo Liaise with Replenishment Manager on orders for promotions and forward buysTo interpret sales reports and data and utilise this information to minimise mark downs and overstocks, and dumpFollow SOPs to maintain price file accurately for all products, ensure ERP system (AX) is maintained accurately as regards trade agreements, freight charges, earned income, and Market Cost.Manage stock to ensure statuses and purchase and sell flags are correctProduce requested analysis and reports to communicate to the businessRequirements:Excellent PC Skills and Systems KnowledgeExcel and knowledge of AX and MRP advantageous however training will be providedStrong numerical and analytical skills requiredStrong organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlinesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsFlexible, innovative, and creative in their attitudes to all issues and areas of the businessThe ability to analyse and resolve problems effectively and efficientlyThe successful candidate must also be an excellent team player and be willing to interact with both customers and suppliersCandidate must be willing to work weekends, bank holidays and outside core office hoursSysco Ireland CultureCustomer Focus: We deeply understand our customers' needs, continuously looking at ways to deliver real value.Building Relationships: We foster strong, effective relationships across teams, always working together.
