If you thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy solving complex challenges, and want your expertise to make a real difference in the built environment, we’d love to hear from you.About the RoleAs a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll play a leading role in designing innovative electrical systems for a wide range of building projects. You’ll work closely with clients, project engineers, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring every solution meets the highest technical standards and delivers real value.What You’ll Do– Lead the design and specification of electrical engineering solutions for buildings, ensuring compliance with all current regulations and standards.– Collaborate directly with clients and project teams to define requirements and develop tailored technical solutions.– Oversee pre-construction activities, including design development, service coordination, technical submittals, and sub-contract management.– Provide technical support to estimating, procurement, commercial, and project bid teams.– Offer off-site technical support to construction teams as needed.– Mentor and support junior staff, helping them grow and develop their skills.What You’ll Bring– Strong technical expertise in all aspects of electrical engineering services and design.– Third level qualification in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.– At least 7 years’ relevant experience, ideally within a design consultancy environment.– In-depth knowledge of current design guides, Building Regulations, EN and IEC standards.– Experience with Electrical Design Software such as Dialux and Amtech or equivalent.– Proven experience working with clients, vendors, and contractors.– A proactive approach and the ability to work well within multifunctional project teams.– Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.What We Offer– Competitive salary and bonus scheme– Pension scheme– Life Insurance (Death in Service)– Hybrid working and flexible hours– Educational assistance scheme– Wellness programme– Professional membership fees coveredAt OCSC we are proud to be an Equal Opportunities employer.
