Our client is seeking an experienced Motor Claims Handler for a full-time permanent role. The position reports to the Claims Operations Manager and works closely with the wider claims and underwriting teams. Candidates must have at least two years of motor claims experience and hold APA or grandfathered status, ideally progressing toward CIP.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strong customer service and gather accurate information at first notificationManage all incoming communication to support timely and cost-effective claim resolutionHandle correspondence from all parties and prevent delays or unnecessary costsComplete desktop investigations and make early decisions on indemnity and liabilityNegotiate fair settlementsManage a personal portfolio of claims through to closureEscalate complex cases when requiredComplete regular file and reserve reviews in line with service standardsMeet individual and team performance targetsSupport additional tasks as neededSkills and ExperienceMinimum two years motor claims handlingAPA or grandfathered, ideally working toward CIPStrong communication, negotiation and decision-makingSolid understanding of underwriting principles, liability, CPC and motor legislationMethodical working style with good problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently, prioritise workload and stay focused under pressurePositive, proactive team player
