Day Rate Contract Position - Dublin
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Azure DevOps Engineer
on a day rate contract basis on behalf of a Dublin based client.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to work on challenging infrastructure and automation projects in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
* Manage and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure and services
* Automate deployment processes and infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
* Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for production environments
* Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment efficiency and reliability
* Ensure security best practices and compliance across all environments
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues
* Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance
Essential Requirements
* 5+ years
of hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform
* Strong expertise in
Azure DevOps
(Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, Boards)
* Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using
Terraform
and/or
ARM templates
* Experience with containerization technologies (
Docker, Kubernetes, AKS
)
* JIRA
experience also required
* Strong scripting skills in
PowerShell, Python, or Bash
* Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices
* Experience with Git version control and branching strategies
* Knowledge of networking, security, and governance in Azure
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Desirable Skills
* Azure certifications (Azure Administrator, DevOps Engineer Expert, or Solutions Architect)
* Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus)
* Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
* Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
* Experience with multi-cloud environments
* Understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR)
