Overview
The role of Healthcare Assistant (Personal Assistant) is to enable members to achieve maximum independence in daily living by providing personal care, domestic assistance, social and educational support, travel and companionship. Work takes place in clients' homes and communities across the North East Dublin area.
Location
Clontarf, Marino, Clarehall and surrounding areas.
Hours
Full‑time or part‑time schedules: 15/20 hours, 20/30 hours, or 30/39 hours per week. Required availability includes weekdays and every second weekend. Specific rates apply before 8 am, after 8 pm, Sundays and public holidays as detailed below.
Responsibilities
Assist members with personal care, domestic tasks, and companionship.
Facilitate social and educational activities to promote wellbeing.
Support travel arrangements and other mobility needs.
Liaise and coordinate with home support staff, the Assisted Living Service Coordinator, and scheduling personnel.
Maintain accurate records of care activities and log visit times using a smartphone.
Required Qualifications and Training
QQI Level 5 (Major Award) in Homecare Support or a comparable Social Care qualification.
Relevant QQI Major Awards may include:
Community Health Services (includes Safety, Health at Work, and Care Provision Practice).
Health Service Skills (includes Workplace Statutory Policies, Procedures, Care Skills and Care Support).
Health Care Support (includes Safety, Health at Work, Care Skills and Care Support).
Full clean driver’s licence.
Proficiency in using a personal smartphone for check‑in and check‑out.

Benefits
Salary: €16.21 – €18.03 per hour (depending on experience).
Premium rates: before 8 am/after 8 pm (€20.26 – €22.54), Sunday (€24.32 – €27.05), Public Holidays (€32.42 – €36.06).
