Carry out all duties in a safe manner e.g. Handling of potentially hazardous and bio-hazardous material and safe Fork Truck driving.Adhere to all GMP requirements.Maintain Good Housekeeping and product segregation in all areas.Perform computer applications as required e.g. DMS, Zebra Printer.Complete all documentation as required in the process.Ensure all relevant OPs are followed.Carry out training of new employees as appropriate.Ensure that activities are completed within budgeted guidelines e.g. Per plan.Assist and become involved in cost saving ideas.Responsible for ensuring adherence to AIDD's waste management programme as it affects warehouse operations.Required for Logistic Operators who have specific responsibility for the Waste Management ProgrammeResponsible for all non-hazardous, hazardous and biohazardous waste segregation, storage and labeling per correct procedure.Proactively promote and monitor the correct segregation of designated wastes in all areas of the plant.Maintain excellent housekeeping standards while ensuring compliance with the waste management programme.Liasie with contractors on the timely and efficient removal of wastes ensuring all necessary documentation is generated and maintained.Actively handle waste issues as they arise, where necessary report all issues to Warehouse Unit/Team Leader.Responsible for ensuring that all waste is stored safely, including storage, transport and baling of same.
Leadership ActivitiesAct as leaders for warehouse safety, challenging those who do not adhere to correct warehouse safety procedures.Interpersonal SkillsAbility to liaise with other departments within the plant and also members of various teams.
Ability to liaise with external customers, drivers and freight forwarders.EducationMinimum Leaving Certificate or equivalent is required, as this foundation will provide a high level of documentation, attention to detail and disciplined approach to work.Experience/ BackgroundPrevious experience in a diagnostic Manufacturing/Warehouse environment is desirable but not essential.
