We are currently hiring a Staff Nurse to join and support the team at a reputable Nursing Home in Kilkenny, Ireland Responsibilities Contribute effectively to the smooth operation of the Nursing Home while fostering a safe, respectful, and caring environment in the best interests of all Clients.
Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality nursing care, ensuring Clients' physical, psychological, social, and health needs are met at all times.
Complete, maintain, and regularly review individualised Care Plans in collaboration with Clients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team, in line with An Bord Altranais guidelines and Company policies.
Monitor Clients' health status, report any changes or illness promptly, and arrange GP or other professional referrals when required.
Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately, ensuring proper documentation in accordance with An Bord Altranais standards and Company procedures.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and ensure effective communication and handover between shifts and relevant staff members.
Promote clear, respectful communication with Clients, relatives, colleagues, and the wider multidisciplinary team, and participate in meetings as required.
Adhere strictly to Health Safety, infection control, emergency, and fire procedures, and promptly report accidents, hazards, or faulty equipment to the appropriate authority.
Uphold the highest standards of professional integrity, confidentiality, and ethical practice, particularly regarding Clients' personal and financial affairs.
Comply with all An Bord Altranais regulations, Company policies, and directives of the Director of Nursing, and undertake any additional reasonable duties as assigned.
Requirements Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
Demonstrated commitment and genuine interest in working with the relevant client group.
Current registration with An Bord Altranais / NMBI.
Registered First-Level Nurse qualification.
Strong team-working skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Relevant experience or additional qualifications related to the specific client care category.
Working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulatory requirements.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
