Job Title: Area Supervisor
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Reports To: Head Office / Area Manager
Hours: Typically 18:00 PM to 22:00 PM (flexible)
Overview:
The Area Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple client sites to ensure that cleaning services are delivered to a high standard. This position is hands-on and field-based, requiring frequent site visits, quality audits, and direct interaction with staff. The role includes onboarding new staff, conducting training, managing performance, resolving issues, and supporting operational logistics such as delivery and collection of clothes, uniforms and materials, whilst using the company vehicle.
This position also involves coordinating deep cleaning execution, sometimes outside of regular hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Operations & Quality Control:
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor cleaning standards, provide feedback, and ensure client satisfaction
* Perform cleaning audits and document findings, including photos and follow up actions
* Address any immediate quality or service delivery concerns on-site
* Report issues and updates to the Head Office
Staff Supervision & Onboarding:
* Onboard and train new staff to company standards and procedures
* Provide ongoing support and guidance to existing staff
* Monitor attendance, punctuality, and performance
* Handle minor conflicts, performance improvement, and initial disciplinary actions
* Promote a positive and productive work environment, all the while sharing SeaClean Company values
Operational Logistics:
* Use of a Company vehicle to deliver and collect uniforms, cleaning supplies, and other materials between sites
* Coordinate the storage and restocking of site-specific items
* Ensure all equipment and materials are present and in good working order, and conducting monthly audits on equipment
Staff Relationship & Upselling:
* Build and maintain good relationships with leads onsite
* Identify opportunities for upselling services (e.g., deep cleaning, floor care) and communicate these to the Operations Manager
* Support the planning and execution of approved jobs, which may include out of office hours
Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven experience in cleaning supervision or field operations (cleaning industry preferred)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to manage people, resolve conflicts, and coach for performance
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude
* Full, clean driving license (Automatic vehicle)
* Comfortable using basic digital tools (e.g., Google Sheets, WhatsApp, photo apps)
* Flexibility to support occasional weekend work when required
Working Conditions:
* This is a mobile position with regular travel between sites using a company-provided vehicle
* Flexibility is required to accommodate out of office hours site visits
* Uniform, laptop / iPad, and mobile phone provided
