OverviewErgo are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Officer for a key contract engagement within a large enterprise environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on cyber security professional with broad technical capability across operational security, cyber tooling, investigations, vulnerability management, and security engineering.This role requires someone who can combine strong technical execution with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - someone equally comfortable investigating security issues, improving controls, documenting standards, and engaging senior leadership on cyber risk and remediation priorities.This is a hybrid role based in Dublin city centre with excellent day rates.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and enhance a broad enterprise cyber security tooling estate including Sophos, Qualys, Cisco Umbrella, Darktrace, Microsoft 365 / Email Security, ISE, PAM, ManageEngine, and firewall controls.Monitoring and managing Anti-Virus, Encryption, Vulnerability, Threat, Intruder Detection and Prevention systemsSupport the operation of Web / Email Filtering, Enterprise Firewalls, Network Access Control and VPN systemsLead and support cyber investigations, incident response activities, threat analysis, and remediation planning.Drive vulnerability remediation activities in partnership with infrastructure and operational teams.Support implementation of CIS-aligned hardening standards, security baselines, and best practice controls.Develop and maintain technical security documentation, standards, operational procedures, and runbooks.Clearly communicate technical risks, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.Experience RequiredStrong experience in a hands-on cyber security operations / engineering role.Broad exposure across enterprise security tooling and operational security controls.Experience in investigations, incident response, vulnerability management, endpoint / email / identity security, and security hardening.Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to manage upwards and influence stakeholders.
