Occupational Health and Safety Leadership Role
This leadership position focuses on ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing site-based EHS management systems, managing internal audits and inspections, and generating reports on EHS data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements and Qualifications
* A degree in engineering or science with a specialization in occupational health and safety or equivalent experience is required.
* 3-5 years of experience in an EHS role within the pharmaceutical, oil and gas, or chemicals industry is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership skills and experience with EHS management systems, such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, are essential.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety and be able to effectively lead and manage EHS initiatives. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a culture that prioritizes employee well-being and promotes a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement site EHS management system programs, including contractor control, hazardous work and permit to work programs, chemical safety program, PPE, electrical safety, and fire safety programs.
* Maintain effective training programs and deliver training on EHS matters on site.
* Manage the facility's internal audits and inspection program and track action items to closure.
* Generate reports on EHS data, analyze trends, and lead EHS initiatives.
* Monitor legal compliance and establish procedures to address weaknesses promptly; conduct EHS compliance assessments in the plant.
