Job Overview
This role entails providing commercial management support for assigned projects/contracts under the direction of Commercial Leads and in accordance with TII & NTA Guidelines.
The successful candidate will have experience in quantity surveying, preferably mainly in civil engineering and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Commercial management of assigned projects/contracts, including programme, risk, and cost control, dispute resolution, contractual matters, and procurement approaches.
* Management of staff performance and support their professional development.
* Participation in tender processes through preparation of tender documents, tender evaluation, contract negotiation, and reviews of tender documentation.
* Co-ordination of outputs of other project services departments into commercial management and reporting of the project/contracts assigned.
Requirements:
* A third-level qualification (NFQ Level 8 or equivalent) in quantity surveying or a related discipline deemed relevant to the role.
* 5 years postgraduate experience in quantity surveying, ideally mainly in civil engineering and preferably large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Chartered Quantity Surveyor with RICS / SCSI, or professionally registered at an equivalent level with a CICES, or position to attain registration within two years from appointment.
* Good working knowledge of different forms of contract including GCCC, NEC, and FIDIC.
