Meet the team:
Our Global Shop Floor Systems group is an enterprise team that develops and applies our digital strategy to Dexcom's manufacturing operations. We work with leading edge hardware and software technologies to seamlessly integrate our shop floor systems within the organization to enable optimal operational and business performance.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting operational datastores which connect our manufacturing and packaging systems across the enterprise.
Where you come in:
You will play a key role as IT owner of databases (e.g. MS SQL / Azure, Oracle) and software solutions (e.g. Aveva PI, Maximo) used for shop floor management and execution of manufacturing operations.
You will lead a team of IT experts to support business requirements and align with corporate vision & mission, in collaboration with cross-functional teams including R&D, Operations, Quality Assurance, Contract Manufacturers, and other stakeholders to facilitate data access in terms of reporting, analysis systems, and data integration.
You will operate as the site lead to analyze and implement efficient and sustainable IT and business system solutions to support supply chaing and manufacturing operations.
You will develop a roadmap to mature Dexcom's back-end databases and solutions to optimize to drive business process improvements, system automation, continuous improvement, and other duties associated with multiple sites production support.
You will create, maintain, and enforce internal development processes that align with industry best-practices and medical regulations alike.
You will manage close relationship with multiple stakeholders at different hierarchy level to ensure effective communication and understandings.
You will provide status updates to relevant stakeholder base on business priorities.

What makes you successful:
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 8-12 years of industry experience. 2-5 years of previous management or lead experience
You have proven 5+ years' experience managing complex back-end systems andintegration with major factory and / or enterprise applications, for example, PLM, ERP, MES, SPC, Asset Management (e.g. Maximo or Blue Mountain RAM), and data visualization (e.g. AVEVA PI or Tableau) solutions.
You are knowledgeable with backend systems, datastores, including automated data collection, visualization, quality and efficiency.
You have business acumen & have excellent written, verbal and team skills,
You have people management experience (a matrix organization is a strong advantage) and working in cross-functional teams to drive and influence changes and improvements
You have a strong desire and ability to quickly learn and adapt in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
You are familiar with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
You have experience dealing with Audits, like SOX compliance, BSA etc.
You have working knowledge of SDLC in a 21 CFR part 11 regulated environment.

20% initially, reducing to 10% in 2026
