Position: General Operative
Hours: Full time – 5 Days a week (40hrs) Hours 6am to 2.30pm and 8am to 5pm
Contract: Permanent
Salary: €14.15 per hour

We are seeking a General Operative to join our team.
Role:
As a General Operative at Tritex Core, you will be responsible for packing and monitoring of paper/cardboard cores in an efficient and safe way while maintaining high standards of quality and adherence to company procedures. Pallet wrapping and strapping finished goods where needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machines (cleaning, adjusting, minor troubleshooting) to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.
* Conduct quality checks on finished cores (visual inspection, measurements, checking against specification) and identify any defects or non-conforming products.
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area; follow all health & safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Report any machine malfunctions, safety hazards, quality issues or deviations from procedure to supervision immediately.
* Work as part of a team and cooperate with other staff to meet production targets and maintain operational efficiency.
Experience/Skills
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
* Good attention to detail and commitment to quality — to ensure finished products meet required standards.
* Awareness of and commitment to health & safety practices (use of PPE, safe handling of machinery/materials).
* Must be self-motivated and able to work on their own and/or with little supervision.
