Insurance Official
Zurich Insurance AG is currently recruiting for an Insurance Official.
This role involves handling all aspects of clients' General Insurance requirements, working in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to gain experience in sales, customer service, customer retention, and policy administration across our private motor, home, and van portfolios.
The role requires diligence, focus, self-motivation, adaptability, and excellent communication skills, as you will be working on the front line of our sales and service team. Suitable candidates will be sales-focused and attentive to customer needs, dealing with both existing and potential new clients.
This position may be available part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate's availability. Please discuss your flexibility during the interview process.
Your Role
As an Insurance Official, your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Providing telephone-based support on all aspects of General Insurance.
2. Responding to customer queries promptly, ensuring clients understand the terms and extent of coverage in line with industry regulations.
3. Delivering first-class customer service to maintain existing relationships and acquire new clients.
4. Gathering information from clients to assess their insurance needs and risk profile.
5. Retaining current customers to meet business targets and team KPIs.
6. Following up on quotations and converting online inquiries into sales via phone, identifying upselling opportunities.
7. Focusing on achieving service level targets with a customer-centric approach.
8. Implementing technical standards, controls, and procedures to maintain underwriting discipline.
9. Maintaining customer underwriting records in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
10. Contributing ideas for developing new or improved insurance propositions.
11. Adhering to Central Bank compliance standards.
12. Ensuring high-quality assurance in all underwriting processes.
13. Addressing issues in accordance with Zurich standards and escalating when necessary.
Your Skills & Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
* At least 2 Grade C3/H5 at Higher Level in the Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) or FETAC Level 6 Diploma.
* Willingness to sit relevant Insurance Institute exams to meet qualification requirements, in line with Central Bank guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
* Experience in the insurance industry is advantageous.
* Progress towards or completion of CIP and/or ACII qualifications.
* Energy, drive, and ability to manage workload in a busy team environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a confident telephone manner.
* Organized, results-driven, and able to meet tight deadlines.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
* Commitment to personal development.
* Positive, flexible, and self-motivated attitude.
* Professionalism and integrity.
* Ability to meet and exceed targets consistently.
Additional Information
The primary work location is Wexford, with occasional travel to other Zurich locations.
