* Client in the Banking Industry
* Our client in the banking industry is undergoing a major transformation in how digital services are delivered. They’re spearheading the rollout of a modern engineering platform across the organisation. Following a significant investment in engineering capabilities, the team is now looking to appoint a visionary Senior Enterprise Architect to lead the architectural direction and technical design of this core platform.
* In this strategic leadership role, you will work closely with engineering teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure the platform aligns with organisational goals and supports the broader technology vision. Your contribution will be critical in establishing a strong digital foundation, enabling scalability, performance, and continuous innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and evolve the architecture of the organisation’s core engineering platform.
* Lead the design and governance of foundational platform services, including CI/CD pipelines, developer tools, infrastructure, observability solutions, and cloud architecture.
* Establish and promote architectural standards, frameworks, and best practices to guide engineering teams across the enterprise.
* Drive adoption of platform capabilities by ensuring they are secure, scalable, and user-friendly.
* Provide expert guidance to solution architects and engineering teams on leveraging platform services effectively.
Essential Qualifications
* A third-level degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience working within complex or highly regulated environments.
* Proven background in platform engineering or internal developer platforms.
Skills and Experience Required
* 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years focused on enterprise-scale systems.
* Strong understanding of modern DevOps practices, cloud-native technologies, and platform engineering principles.
* Demonstrated ability to lead architectural strategy and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
