About the role Reporting to The Head of Project Services, the Project Services team is at the heart of Viatel's drive to deliver exceptional solutions, playing a pivotal role in transforming our clients' businesses through technology.

As a Project Services Specialist, you'll be immersed in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where every day presents new challenges and opportunities.

You will lead the implementation of cutting-edge projects, from solution design and technical review to structuring proof of concept and deploying innovative cloud and infrastructure solutions that enable our clients to realise their greatest potential.

This role offers the excitement of working with the latest advancements in cloud technology, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, and Autopilot, as well as leading virtualisation and security platforms.

Location: Fixed Hybrid: Must be available to work in either Limerick or Dublin office a min of 2 days per week.

Configuration of Microsoft Azure Cloud Solutions and associated migration of customers to the platform.

Configuration of Microsoft 365 Cloud Solutions and associated migration of customers to the platform.

Participation in evaluating new products, services, processes, and technologies to meet customer needs.

Partake and upskill in training activities in support of new technologies, procedures, and customer service enhancements.

Comply, maintain, and promote information security in Viatel.

Identify gaps in client environments and communicate requirements to sales teams.

Provide on call escalation support for Out of Hours support service.

Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for solutions delivered, ensuring clear and accurate records for both clients and internal teams.

Offer expert advice and guidance to clients and colleagues, supporting best practices and professional IT standards across all projects.

Work autonomously with senior customer stakeholders to ensure engagements are delivered on time, within budget and at a minimum meet customer expectation.

Maintain a high level of professionalism, acting as a positive representative of Viatel both internally and externally.

Commit to ongoing professional development by maintaining relevant certifications and actively pursuing new qualifications to stay current with industry trends.

Participate in peer review processes to support the solution team, providing constructive feedback and contributing to the continuous improvement of technical deliverables.

Collaborate in the design of bespoke solutions as required, drawing on technical expertise to address complex customer requirements.

Demonstrate excellent timekeeping and organisational skills to ensure timely delivery of projects and adherence to schedules.

Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Knowledge and Experience Over 10 years' hands‑on experience working within the IT field, ideally in roles involving project delivery, systems implementation, or multi‑customer environments5yrs + professional experience with server migrations in a Microsoft environment.5yrs + professional experience of working with Office 365 migrations.5yrs + professional experience working with Microsoft Azure.

Strong networking experience.

Strong storage systems experience.

Strong virtualisation experience.

Strong device management experience.

Strong IT Security experience with EDR and XDR solutions Strong experience with Backup & Dr solutions, experience in Commvault, Veeam and Microsoft solutions is desirable Experience working directly with a broad range of customers in an MSP or similar multi‑client service environment Ability to solve complex problems and participate in continuous improvement practices.

Ability to multitask by working on multiple project issues at a time Demonstrates a proactive approach, accountability & ownership, prioritises own workload.

Identify when to liaise with 3rd party support and when to escalate issues.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Willingness to travel, if required.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:3rd Level Qualification in an IT related Discipline Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Experience working with Connect Wise Manage/Automate desirable.
