/Company detailsGuiney's is a leading supplier of hardware, home wares and Fashion with 13 retail stores nationwide, providing customers with quality, competitively priced products & unrivaled service.Guiney's are seeking to hire an experienced Sales Assistant for our WEXFORD store.Sales Assistants report to the store manager and work as part of a cohesive team to achieve maximum sales through the delivery of excellent customer service.Core responsibilities for this role include:·Ensure high quality and consistent customer service is provided at all timesManaging point of sale processes, including cash, card & credit transactions.To ensure customers receive high quality and consistent service at all timesTo deal with and rectify customer complaints in an effective and pleasant mannerAdhering to policies and procedures for the security of cash and merchandise.Participating in regular stock taking·Ensure store is merchandised in a customer friendly and competitive manner ensuring compliance with company procedures and guidelinesEnsure housekeeping in the store is maintained at an optimum levelTo ensure the appropriate cash register and cash handling policy is adhered toAdherence to all company policies & procedures, Health & Safety procedures and reporting of any hazards to the Store Management.Candidates for this position should have:·Excellent interpersonal skillsAn understanding of consumer needsCommitted to continually improving standardsSelf-motivated & ambitiousComputer literateGuineys is an equal opportunities employer.Job Type: Part-timeBenefits:FlexitimeExperience:Sales: 1 year (required)Customer service: 1 year (required)Work Location: In person
