Health and Safety Specialist
Our client is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join their management team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive health and safety management system.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing risk assessments and safe systems of work;
* Conducting site audits to identify hazards and non-conformances;
* Investigating accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions;
* Providing training and guidance to site personnel on health and safety procedures;
* Coordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations;
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety, with relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH membership. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 4 years' experience in managing health and safety in a construction environment;
* Relevant qualification in occupational health and safety (e.g. NEBOSH or IOSH membership);
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
