The organisation is looking for Candidates who are committed to supporting people with Intellectual Disabilities and their families, in a Person Centered, Community Based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our core values and ethos and underpinned by quality, best practice and research.
Avista is recruiting a Team Leader for It’s My Life Individualised Supports. The successful applicant will work in partnership with a small number of individuals to explore and pursue a vision for a full, inclusive ordinary life.

*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work
REQ: 27360
1. QQI Level 7 (or higher) qualification in Social Care/Applied Social Studies or equivalent
2. Training or Education in ‘Social Role Valorisation’ or ‘Supported Self Directed Living (SSDL).
3. Very good leadership, communication, team working, planning and organisational skills.
4. Ability to be flexible with working hours to meet the support needs for the person.
5. Full clean manual driving licence & requirement to drive service vehicle.
6. The ability to partner and liaise effectively with the person, their family and those who support them.
7. The ability to focus and have a strong desire to see the person lead a valued life in terms of home, family, work, social-life, relationships and support.
8. The ability to be creative and innovative.
9. Good observer, critical thinker and good problem solver.
10. Experience in supporting people in individualised ways.
11. Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
12. Completed or working towards management qualification.
