You will also handle the design, specification, programming, simulation, testing, and start-up assistance for these systems. You must have strong experience working with Siemens and possess the technical expertise to maintain, develop, troubleshoot, and validate these systems in a compliant manner.ResponsibilitiesSenior Siemens Automation Systems Engineer role; onsite in Sligo (no remote work).Skills Brief5+ years experience working with Siemens PLC SystemsKnowledge/experience with one or more of the following is advantageous: SCADA, Control Systems, Vision SystemsExperience with Pack equipment systems, Cognex and Serialization – some level in all or any of these is highly advantageousStrong exposure to automation systems integration and solution design in life sciences or medical devicesExperience in implementation and troubleshooting of SQL database systems for real-time process data collection is an advantageIT/Networking experience would be advantageousHigh level language experience would be advantageousQualificationsB.Sc. Degree in Engineering or equivalent, with emphasis in software development, electrical, electronic or automationMinimum 5 years’ experience in industry, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, blue chip or GMP manufacturing environmentExcellent communication, problem-solving, stakeholder and vendor management skillsOnsite RequirementAs this role is fully onsite in Sligo, the successful candidate must be based in Sligo or within a reasonable commute.
