**Postdoctoral Researcher - Electro-Optical Characterisation and Modelling of InGaP MicroLEDs**
The Tyndall National Institute at University College Cork invites applications for a postdoctoral position focused on the electro-optical characterisation and modelling of InGaP microLED structures. The research will involve the electrical characterisation and modelling of metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS) structures formed on InGaP, AlInGaP, and AlInP.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interacting with the research team to form and characterise MOS structures.
* Management role in the electrical characterisation and modelling of III-V MOS structures using impedance spectroscopy.
* Participating in education and public engagement activities as required.
* Ensuring all activities are compliant with the Quality Management system and Health and Safety standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
* Experience in device modelling (e.g., Silvaco, Synopsis, Ginestra Comsol).
* Familiarity with semiconductor devices, lithography, sputtering, etching, and oxide deposition.
Benefits:
* Appointment may be made on the IUA Researcher Scale €45,847-€52,339 per annum.
