As a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems and equipment across the site.
Key responsibilities include conducting regular maintenance checks, performing repairs and inspections, and troubleshooting faults to resolve breakdowns effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct electrical system maintenance and repairs, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
2. Troubleshoot electrical faults, using advanced diagnostic skills to identify and rectify issues promptly.
3. Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and services, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.
4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including electrical drawings and documentation, for easy reference and compliance purposes.
5. Install, relocate or disassemble machinery and perform minor electrical installations, such as lighting, while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
6. Collaborate with external contractors when required, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless execution of projects.
7. Assist engineering colleagues with tasks involving hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems, promoting cross-functional collaboration and expertise sharing.
8. Utilize asset management software to log and track maintenance activities, monitor equipment performance and optimize maintenance schedules for maximum impact.
Required Skills and Qualifications

* Hold an HNC in Electrical Engineering or City & Guilds Level 3 Electro Technical / NVQ Level 3 qualification.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification or previous edition with willingness to update.
* A minimum of three years' experience in electrical maintenance and repair, with a strong emphasis on hands-on training and continuous professional development.
* Proven ability to assess repairs and identify required materials, exercising sound judgment and decision-making skills.
* Proficient working at height, offshore, and in confined spaces, with a commitment to maintaining the highest level of personal safety and risk management.
* Competency in MS Office applications and email systems, with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate remotely.
* Valid driving license or suitable transportation access, enabling flexible travel and meeting commitments.
Desirable Criteria

* Experience maintaining mobile harbour cranes or marine electrical systems, with a focus on maximizing operational efficiency and reducing downtime.
* Familiarity with asset management software, particularly Asset HQ, enhancing data-driven decision-making and streamlined processes.
* Skilled across multiple disciplines, including electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems, fostering adaptability and broad technical knowledge.
* Ability to operate industrial machinery, such as forklift trucks, MEWPs or telehandlers, adding versatility and depth to your skillset.
