Overview
Senior Social Worker role at Children’s Health Ireland Jobs. The successful candidate will work in The Alders Unit, a specialist child sexual abuse service, providing social work supports to children and families impacted by child sexual abuse. This is a multidisciplinary team role focused on assessments and delivery of therapeutic interventions to children and their families.
Responsibilities
* Be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
* Attend case conferences, MDT meetings and other professional meetings.
* Participate in service development, monitoring and evaluation.
* Provide supervision, training and consultations as part of the service; engage in individual and clinical supervision with the Principal Social Worker; participate in group case management and reflective supervision.
* Deliver assessments and therapeutic interventions to children and their families attending the service.
Qualifications and Experience
* Essential criteria are as listed in the eligibility criteria for the post.
* Experience in child protective services or a related field is implied by the role in the Alders Unit.

Onboarding and Commencement
CHI has a monthly commencement day for new employees, internal transfers and secondments. Pre-employment and mandatory training must be completed in time to avoid deferral of the commencement date.
