Job Title: Lead Software Engineer (Staff Software Engineer)
Location: Trinity Central, 152-160 Pearse St., Dublin 2.

Responsibilities
Architect and develop multiple components of the platform using Java 13 Spring Boot and NodeJS microservices.
Engage with engineering leadership to discuss or propose new solutions and demo software to the wider engineering group.
Mentor and coach development teams; manage code reviews and PRs.
Collaborate on deployments and shared components across platform teams.
Identify technical trade‑offs, latest approaches, and new technical directions.
Qualifications
Expertise in either Java Spring Boot or NodeJS with experience in both.
Strong SQL experience, ideally with GraphQL knowledge.
Experience working with a cloud provider such as AWS or Azure.
Experience with Docker, including writing Dockerfiles and deploying to Kubernetes.
Significant experience working in an Agile team.
Beneficial
Java or NodeJS certification.
Cloud architecture experience, ideally AWS Certified.
Experience creating and working with large‑scale SQL databases with high performance.
Experience with Apache Kafka, Redis and Elastic Search.
Experience in coaching or mentoring technical teams.
Comfort presenting technically to senior business leaders, translating technical constraints into business language.
Education & Experience
BSc or higher in Computer Science or a relevant discipline.
