Job Title: Slaughter Line Manager
Reports to: Site Manager
Overall Responsibility
Full responsibility for intake, processing, evisceration, and storage of livestock, ensuring the efficient running of slaughter line facilities.

* 1 Trainer/Charge Hand
Main Responsibilities
* Oversee slaughter line processes, carcass loading, and chill operations to meet required productivity levels.
* Work closely with maintenance to ensure maximum uptime and implement efficiency plans. Foster root cause analysis and problem-solving culture.
* Provide regular reports on activity, productivity, costs, deviations, and corrective actions.
* Manage animal welfare from arrival through lairage to stunning, ensuring compliance with standards.
* Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
* Manage slaughter line uptime, including execution of Preventative Maintenance System.
* Ensure efficient use of raw materials.
* Coordinate with regulatory representatives to meet legal requirements.
* Oversee staff training, SOPs, and training matrix updates.
* Implement cost controls, manage labor, absenteeism, and workforce planning.
* Maintain Health & Safety standards, conduct risk meetings, support investigations, and lessons learned.
* Oversee livestock payment data collection, record-keeping, and compliance.
* Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
* Ensure environmental policies and sustainability are followed.
* Identify and resolve operational issues proactively.
* Manage workforce planning and employee relations with HR.
* Support additional operational tasks as needed.
