Know The Role
The Assistant Business Manager supports the Business Manager in driving sales turnover and market share through a consumer‑focused culture.
* Recruit, lead, coach and develop a highly engaged team to deliver Brand expectations for sales, service, operations and product.
* Ensure brand image is reflected through all brand standards.
* Cover hourly deployment plan daily to cover all shop floor areas in line with the weekly staff rotas.
* Maintain awareness of additional sales avenues— eventing, omni‑channel, digital.
* Keep up to date with competitor activities and missed opportunities.
* Deliver effective training, coaching and development for all direct reports and communicate feedback to meet company service standards.
* Communicate and review daily/weekly targets and Brand KPIs, taking action where necessary.
* Leverage social media to protect and enhance the Brand image.
* Support execution of the Brand strategy and local plan.
* Create and drive a local Marketing and Events Plan within retailer activity limits.
* Partner with Education Teams to provide product knowledge and skill set training.
* Improve service levels, create zero consumer complaint mindset and a surprise and delight culture.
* Be an Ambassador for the Brand and live Brand values.
* Manage refunds and complaints in line with company guidelines, consulting Business Manager where appropriate.
* Upskill team with Brand education digital tools and resources.
* Coach team on consumer service, sales techniques and product knowledge to improve performance.
* Support consumer recruitment and retention strategy to grow loyal consumer base.

* Experience in a fast‑paced retail and/or consumer‑facing environment.
* Ability to drive self‑development.
* Managerial experience.
* Commercial acumen in a fast‑paced service‑led environment and awareness of industry.
* Effective communication, organisational, prioritisation and delegation skills.
