LABQUIP IRELAND Service Engineer Permanent Position Labquip (Ireland) Limited, a leading distributor in material testing and non-destructive testing (NDT), is expanding its specialist service team. We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on individual with at least 2 years of professional work experience to join us as aService Engineer. This position suits Engineers or Scientists looking for a practical, hands-on workshop and field-based role. This role is for a Service Engineer looking to service specialist equipment and join a growing company. Labquip has taken on increased responsibility for Bruker XRD service in Ireland, covering both new systems under Labquip service contracts and legacy systems subcontracted by Bruker UK since 2021. The role also offers the chance to work closely with a small, collaborative team and gain full operational insight by engaging with colleagues across departments such as admin, stores, and logistics. Services Provided by Labquip Ireland Include: - Annual re-certification of all Bruker handheld XRF instruments (UK & Ireland) - Repair of Bruker handheld XRF (excluding X-ray tube & detector) - Ultrasonic flaw detectors and thickness gauges - Metallography equipment - Industrial X-ray and computed tomography (CT) systems - Radiography film processors - Labino UV lights - Other ad-hoc equipment Note: All X-ray systems are safe and contain no radioactive sources or residual radiation. Role Overview The role involves equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting in our Fonthill workshop and on customer sites, initially supporting Senior Service engineer and sub-contracted service engineer from the manufactures, with progression to increasing independent field service work. Key Responsibilities - Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair equipment. - Once competent, deliver user training and remote support - Maintain accurate service records - Collaborate with sales teams in Ireland and the UK (Labquip NDT Limited) - Support maintenance contract sales and administration - Ensure safe working practices and good housekeeping Required Skills & Experience - Qualification or experience in physics, chemistry, electronics, electrical, instrumentation, or mechanical engineering - Strong organisational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Proficient in Microsoft Office - Full, clean driving licence Package - On-the-job and manufacturer training - Full operational exposure across workshop, field service, and collaboration with management, administration and stores. - Support for further relevant studies - Competitive base salary with bonus structure - 21 days annual leave, increasing to 28 with service - Company pension contributions - Career growth opportunities within Labquip Application To apply, please select the button shown.
