This is a key leadership role within a fast-paced distribution environment, playing an important part in supporting the continued growth of the organisation while ensuring excellent service delivery and operational efficiency.The Transport Supervisor is central to the day-to-day running of the depot and will work closely with drivers and management to ensure routes are dispatched efficiently, safely, and in line with customer expectations.ROLE & RESPONSIBILTIESEnsure the timely and orderly dispatch of all delivery routes across assigned locationsMonitor daily driver schedules using transport technology and report on performance, route efficiency, and delivery timesAnalyse driver performance through route accompaniment, providing coaching and feedback where requiredCoach, motivate, and manage delivery teams in line with performance and absence management processesIdentify trends in performance or absence, addressing concerns through coaching or formal disciplinary procedures when necessaryMinimise equipment breakdowns by ensuring issues are reported promptly and referred to vehicle maintenanceComplete and submit accident and injury reports in line with internal procedures and timelinesEnsure damages and delivery shortages are minimised through correct loading and delivery practicesIdentify, coordinate, and support driver training and development requirementsEnsure company vehicles are maintained, cleaned, and operated safely to reduce risk and protect brand standardsLead by example, applying company policies and procedures in a fair, consistent, and unbiased mannerIDEAL CANDIDATE3–5 years' management or supervisory experience in a high-volume, time-sensitive, technology-driven distribution or transport environmentStrong IT skills, with experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and WordGood working knowledge of Department of Transport regulations, including Tachograph legislation and the Working Time DirectiveExperience participating in investigations and disciplinary processes relating to incidents, absence, or performanceProven ability to motivate and manage teams to deliver a high-quality serviceStrong planning and organisational skills with a focus on safety, efficiency, and effectivenessAbility to analyse, interpret, and present operational and performance dataComfortable working in a deadline-driven, customer-focused environmentTransport Management CPCPACKAGE50k per annumPension SchemeHealth InsuranceStaff DiscountsProgressionThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated transport professional to take on a key supervisory role within a dynamic and growing operation.
