Manufacturing Accountant
My client a manufacturing company in the midlands are looking to hire a qualified accountant to join their team. This is a newly created role within an established team reporting to the head of finance would suit a commercially minded accountant with who enjoys data manipulation and working in a fast paced environment.
Duties
* Prepare weekly management reports, reconciliations, and variance analysis
* Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labour, and overheads
* Analyse cost and usage variances; review product costings and BOMs
* Produce margin analysis by customer and product
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes
* Handle ad hoc financial analysis and projects
* Assist with building & enhancing reporting tools
Skills
* Qualified Accountant or QBE
* Strong knowledge of cost accounting, variance analysis, and KPIs
* Skilled in data tools (Power Query, Power BI preferred)
* Ability to present clear, concise reports
* Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
* Excellent IT and analytical skills
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities
* Comfortable explaining financial concepts to non-financial teams
* Proactive in suggesting improvements
