Collaboration, security and continuous improvement sit at the heart of everything the team does.An experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer is now required to join the Technical IT function, playing a key role in shaping and supporting enterprise-grade infrastructure services.Your RoleAs Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will take responsibility for the end‑to‑end delivery, performance and continuous improvement of the organisation's infrastructure estate, supporting both internal users and external customers.You will provide technical leadership across infrastructure platforms, advising on best practice and contributing to new opportunities alongside sales, professional services and application teams. The role spans planning, design, implementation, maintenance and optimisation of infrastructure components across on-prem, virtual and cloud environments.You will drive automation, adopt modern tooling and embed robust cybersecurity controls to improve efficiency, resilience and security. Collaboration with development and application support teams will be key, along with supporting compliance and accreditation requirements and managing third-party suppliers.What You Need to SucceedYou will bring strong hands‑on experience across modern infrastructure and cloud technologies, including:Proven experience using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates) and version control (Git)Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including networking, security, governance and monitoring servicesExperience designing and implementing Azure Landing Zones and applying RBAC, policies and security best practiceStrong Windows Server administration (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025), including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCPExperience with VMware and/or Hyper‑V virtualisationSolid firewall and network security experience (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco or similar)VPN configuration (site‑to‑site and remote access)Cisco routing and switching (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP)Hybrid connectivity solutions such as ExpressRoute and Azure VPN GatewayHands‑on experience with F5 BIG‑IP (LTM) and/or Azure Application Gateway (WAF)Experience delivering Azure migrations, including lift‑and‑shift and re‑platforming approachesDesirableRelevant Microsoft or Cisco certifications (AZ‑104, AZ‑305, AZ‑700, CCNA/CCNP)Additional scripting, automation or DevOps experiencePrevious experience in a customer‑facing technical roleYou'll combine strong technical capability with a proactive, delivery‑focused mindset, excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to operate confidently under pressure.
