Job Description:
This is a part-time Home Safety Officer position that involves delivering home safety checks across the Eastern Area of Councils. The successful candidate will visit residents in their homes, identify potential safety risks, provide practical advice and approved safety equipment, and make appropriate referrals to support services to reduce the risk of accidental injury and improve wellbeing.
The role requires travel to private homes using own vehicle within Ards and North Down Borough Council areas, Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council areas, and occasionally within County Down. This includes carrying out environmental assessments of homes to identify safety hazards and risks, testing smoke alarms, providing advice on safe use of carbon monoxide detectors, conducting needs assessments,
