Strategic Human Resources Leader
We are seeking a seasoned executive leader to shape our people strategy at the highest level. As a key member of our Executive Leadership Team, you will play a transformative role in driving organisational change and delivering measurable impact through people management.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Human Resources function, developing and implementing annual and long-range plans, and aligning with our corporate strategy. You will also oversee the safe and efficient operation of our Training Centre, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Human Resources function, developing and implementing HR policies and activities, including recruitment and selection, training, talent development, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, reward and benefits, diversity and inclusion, internal communications, and data protection.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with employees, trade unions, CI Group companies, and external agencies, ensuring constructive dialogue and long-term partnership.
* Provide strategic oversight of HR governance, compliance, and risk management, ensuring policies and practices meet the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and sustainability.
Requirements
* A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, underpinned by deep expertise in organisational development and workforce planning.
* In-depth knowledge of industry trends and best practices in people management and development, ideally within complex, unionised, or transportation environments.
* Demonstrated ability to lead executive teams, inspire organisational culture change, and align people strategy with corporate objectives.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the gravitas to engage credibly with stakeholders at all levels from frontline employees to Board members.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, coupled with a strategic mindset that prioritises innovation, continuous improvement, and resilience.
* The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining strategic focus.
