Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Civil Resident Engineer to lead water network improvements in the North East of Ireland.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of civil engineering works, particularly in the design or construction of watermain upgrades and rehabilitation techniques. Experience with HSQE audits and managing issues is also essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with regional contractors to ensure project delivery complies with contracts and legislation.
* Liaise with local authorities to deliver projects effectively.
* Conduct HSQE audits and manage associated issues.
* Process work orders and service requests.
* Review and approve as-laid drawings.
* Collaborate with IW design engineers to provide clarity on project delivery.
* Address customer complaints and provide feedback to regional leads and IW.
* Attend meetings with regional contractors and IW.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* At least 5 years' experience in onsite supervision and site engineering of civil engineering works, including water projects.
* A degree in a related discipline, such as civil engineering.
* Strong writing and record-keeping skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety procedures and regulations.
* A current SafePass card is mandatory.

Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for success in this role. Flexibility regarding travel is also required.
