I'm currently working with a
tier-one international engineering and construction contractor
delivering a long-term programme of
major infrastructure works in Dublin Port

Managing Quantity Surveyor level
, with responsibility for leading commercial teams, owning cost and risk across multiple live projects, and acting as the senior commercial interface with key stakeholders.
It's a high-profile, stable pipeline of work in a complex, operational environment — well suited to someone looking for genuine senior-level responsibility rather than a single-project QS role.

* Manage, mentor and develop commercial teams, ensuring strong governance, performance, and succession planning.
* Own cost/value reporting, forecasting, cashflow, WIP control and outturn cost management across all projects.
* Identify, manage and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities, driving margin improvement plans.
* Ensure robust contract administration, commercial compliance, and effective handling of variations, claims and client issues.
* Support work-winning activity where required, including tender input and client presentations.
* Act as the senior commercial interface with clients, project teams and senior leadership.
Key Skills
* Degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor (SCSI / RICS accredited); MRICS desirable.
* Strong leadership and people management experience within main contractor or infrastructure environments.
* Proven commercial expertise across large-scale construction or civil engineering projects.
* Excellent knowledge of standard forms of contract, measurement, project controls and programming principles.
* Commercially astute, confident managing risk, cashflow and complex stakeholder relationships.
* Strong IT capability across Microsoft Office and commercial reporting systems.
* Full driving licence and ability to work across live, operational project environments.
