Our partnered client has been shaping Ireland's transport infrastructure for over two decades and is now entering a major growth phase driven by national investment and expansion of their technology and service offerings.As they continue to scale nationwide, they are seeking a General Manager (Transport) to take a senior leadership position within the organisation. This role will provide day-to-day operational leadership, drive delivery across national transport programmes, and represent the company at senior levels with government bodies, councils, and industry partners.This position is an exceptional opportunity for a driven, strategic, and hands-on leader who wants to make a tangible impact on Ireland's transport future — with a clear pathway towards Managing Director level for the right candidate.What You Will Be DoingLeading the daily operations of the Transport division and ensuring smooth delivery across active projects.Developing and maintaining strong relationships with major stakeholders including the NTA, local authorities, and public transport partners.Overseeing large-scale national infrastructure projects and ensuring successful delivery.Representing the organisation at high-level industry events, client meetings, and government engagements.Supporting and guiding teams across contract management, engineering, admin, and software.Playing a key role in tender preparation, commercial decisions, and long-term planning.Acting as a central decision-maker across operations, delivery, and team direction.Being fully present onsite (Monday–Friday) to lead, support, and set the standard for the wider team.Required Experience:Background in transport, ITS, engineering, mobility, or public-sector infrastructure.Strong understanding of the Irish transport landscape and key bodies.Proven experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects at pace.A confident and personable leader with strong communication skills.Someone energetic, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership in a hands-on environment.Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to represent the company at senior levels.A collaborative leader who can bring teams together around a shared vision.Salary: €80,000 - €100,000 DOEBenefits: Healthcare, Pension, Bonus and more.Please note this position requires 5 days onsite in South Dublin, and candidates must currently be located in Ireland, holding an EU Passport or Stamp 4 Visa.Please send a copy of your CV to to be considered for this position.
