Clandillon Civil Consulting (CCC) is an Irish civil engineering consultancy that, through its work with many of Ireland’s biggest civil engineering contractors, has been involved in many of TII’s largest schemes, such as Luas Cross City, N4 Collooney to Castlebaldwin and N8 Dunkettle Interchange.
CCC is looking to recruit a Senior Designer’s Site Representative (DSR) for the Liffey Valley to City Centre Bus Connects scheme, which has recently been awarded to GMC. CCC will be responsible for the design and supervision of construction of the works as part of a joint venture with design partners ROD.
The project will start construction in January 2026 and will run for approximately the next 3 years. This opportunity offers the right candidate the chance to have a high-profile role on a major infrastructure project in Ireland, followed by potential positions on future projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the multi-discipline Designer’s Site Representative team
* Track and manage team responsible for daily site inspections and keeping of daily site diaries
* Reviewing and approving materials submissions from the Contractor
* Reviewing of the Contractor’s method statements
* Reviewing and approving inspection and test plans
* Tracking and reviewing testing records submitted by the Contractor
* Raising and closing non-compliance reports
* Advising the designer of any design defects noted
* Ensure construction is carried out in accordance with the Works Requirements and Contract
* Liaise with the design team on any design related matters
* Supervise the production of as-built drawings
* Representing the designer at site meetings
* Managing technical queries and CCC’s NEC obligations
Skills / Qualifications
* Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional qualification
* 15 years of post-graduate experience in large civil engineering projects
* Experience working as a Designer’s Site Representative or Resident Engineer on infrastructure projects
* Excellent communication, management and organisational skills required
* Experience working and co-ordinating with technical specialists and engineers
* Key requirements include efficient work methods, functioning both as part of team and on own initiative
* Experience organizing and delivering complex tasks involving multiple parties within a short timeframe
