Ayrton Group are seeking an EHS Specialist for a large medical manufacturing facility in the Cork region.
This role offers a 12 month contract with the possibility of extension.
The role holder will lead, advise, and guide the organisation in developing positive safety behaviours and culture throughout the business.
Responsibilities will include:
Support new projects to ensure operational EHS readiness.
Complete EHS Design reviews of equipment and facilities.
Manage the company's safety training needs analysis for all employees within the organisation
Plan, develop and coordinate the company's risk management programme.
Develop and review Safe operating procedures.
Develop and implement health promotion programmes within the business.
Maintain compliance with EHS regulatory requirements including ISO*****, ISO***** & ISO***** and Global EHS standards.
Provide support and advice to safety representatives and safety committees.
Review and approve Site Safety permits
Support sites chemical management and IH programs.
Support the sites Management of change process.
Participate in the company's safety walks and internal audit program
Maintain the sites chemical inventory.
Support the site's waste management program.
Collaborate and support other functions within the business in promoting Environmental, Health and Safety behaviours.
Essential Criteria:
Health and safety qualification with a minimum of 3+ years post qualification experience in Manufacturing environment preferably medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Experience in Chemical and Biological Safety would be an advantage.
Proven behavioural change experience.
Good communicator
Excellent IT skills.
Ability to influence at all levels in the organisation.
You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
