Role Title: IT Application Support Engineer Summary: Responsible for maintaining and supporting pharmaceutical IT applications, ensuring system reliability, compliance, and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities: Application Support: Monitor, maintain, and update pharmaceutical applications (LIMS, ERP, CRM, etc.).
Hardware & Software Maintenance: Install and support computers, printers, and related peripherals.
Help Desk Support: Provide end-user technical support, troubleshoot issues, and document resolutions.
System Administration: Manage Active Directory, user accounts, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
User Training: Deliver training, develop guides, and assist users with application functionality.
Collaboration: Work with IT, QA, development teams, and vendors to resolve issues.
Compliance & Security: Ensure systems meet FDA, GMP, and SOX standards; maintain data security.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and improve system efficiency and user experience.
Projects: Support new implementations, upgrades, migrations, and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate system records and generate performance reports.
Audit Support: Assist with inspections, audits, and CAPA implementation.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
35 years experience in application support (pharma/healthcare preferred).
Proficient in SQL, databases, and scripting.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical validation and regulatory standards.
