About the role
As CFO, you will lead the financial direction of Atlantach Technical Services with operations across EMEA and the USA. You will oversee all financial planning, strategy, reporting, and compliance functions, ensuring the company’s financial health and enabling scalable growth. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will play a pivotal role in driving profitable expansion, supporting operational excellence, and enabling the business to capture new market opportunities in the highly competitive engineering and technical services sector.
Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
Lead and manage the finance function including accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, audit, and compliance across EMEA and USA operations.
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals, enabling sustainable growth and international scalability.
Provide strategic insights to support decision-making across engineering, operations and commercial delivery.
Reporting & Compliance
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards for senior leadership, Board, and external stakeholders.
Maintain compliance with international accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS) and local statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
Manage tax planning and regulatory filings in EMEA and US markets.
M&A and Growth Enablement
Build and implement corporate finance and M&A structures to support inorganic growth, including acquisition identification, due diligence, transaction execution, and post-deal integration.
Support business expansion into new EMEA and US markets with scalable financial models and operational frameworks.
Risk & Performance Management
Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks across geographies.
Drive cost-efficiency, margin improvement, and profitability through proactive financial analysis and operational alignment.
Oversee cash flow, working capital, and treasury management in multi-currency environments.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
Manage relationships with external stakeholders including banks, auditors, and legal advisors.
Build, mentor and scale an international finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Partner with engineering, operations and HR leadership to optimise business processes and financial systems.
Authorities
Accountable for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting to ensure the financial health and compliance of the organisation.
Responsible for the detailed planning, monitoring, and control of the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
Contribute to the identification of financial risks and opportunities, advising the executive team on strategic investment decisions, funding needs, and capital allocation.
Establish detailed financial frameworks, cost structures, and performance KPIs to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Validate major expenditures, contracts, and investments based on financial viability and alignment with company strategy.
Ensure efficient financial operations by optimizing systems, tools, and processes for reporting, accounting, and financial governance.
Key Skills and Requirements
Chartered Accountant with a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field.
10+ years of progressive financial leadership, preferably within Engineering, Technology, or Professional Services sectors.
Proven expertise in international financial reporting, forecasting, risk management, and regulatory compliance across both EMEA and US markets.
Strong track record in scaling finance functions and enabling growth in multi-country service-based businesses.
M&A and fundraising/financing experience, ideally within cross-border transactions.
Skilled in managing distributed teams and working in cross-functional, multicultural environments.
Strong leadership, commercial acumen, and ability to influence at Board and executive level.
Hands‑on approach, with the agility to operate both strategically and tactically in a growth business.
