Physiotherapist Career Opportunity
This position is ideal for an experienced physiotherapist who is passionate about delivering advanced musculoskeletal and orthopaedic care, driving service development, and contributing to clinical leadership in a patient-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clinical & Professional:
o Coordinate and deliver an effective and efficient Pectus Physiotherapy Service based on patient needs.
o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new developments, technology, and best practice in physiotherapy.
o Contribute to clinical audits, research, and ongoing professional development.
* Management & Service Development:
o Actively contribute to the management and development of the physiotherapy service.
o Participate in induction, appraisal, education, and in-service training programmes.
o Maintain accurate records and service statistics.
o Regularly review and update service policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
o Support quality assurance and accreditation requirements.
* Leadership & Staff Development:
o Lead by example in professionalism, dedication, and teamwork.
o Promote ongoing learning and professional development within the team.
o Provide intra-disciplinary education to promote physiotherapy services.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
* Degree in Physiotherapy.
* Registration with CORU is essential.
* Membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists is desirable.
Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in Orthopaedic or Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
* Postgraduate qualification in Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal practice, or related specialism is desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
* Expert clinical knowledge and reasoning in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy.
* Strong ability to deliver patient-centred care within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Experience in service planning, policy development, and research.
* Evidence of continuing professional development (Strength & Conditioning training).
* Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
* Ability to balance clinical and management responsibilities.
