About the Role
CM Precision Engineering is seeking a motivated Toolmaker or Apprentice Toolmaker to join our growing team. This role involves the machining of high-precision components for a range of engineering applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in mechanical processes, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
* Machining of precision components to exact specifications
* Operation and maintenance of workshop machinery and tools
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings
* Ensuring quality standards are met throughout the production process
* Working collaboratively within a skilled engineering team
Required Qualifications / Skills
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills (essential for apprentices)
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in machining, toolmaking, or precision engineering
* Familiarity with CNC machinery or manual lathes/mills
* Relevant engineering-related course or certification
