As a key member of our legal team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's strategic direction. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial law and intellectual property.
The primary responsibilities of this position include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with customers, suppliers, and partners. You will also provide strategic legal advice on commercial matters to ensure that the company's business activities are legally sound and aligned with its objectives.
Additionally, you will develop and implement strategies for identifying, protecting, and managing the company's intellectual property assets, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets. This will involve working closely with external counsel as needed.
You will also be responsible for monitoring and advising on relevant space industry regulations, export control, licensing requirements, and compliance matters in Ireland and any target international markets.
Furthermore, you will identify and assess potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. You will also manage and resolve any legal disputes or litigation effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess a qualified solicitor or barrister in Ireland (or a comparable common law jurisdiction) degree. You should have experience in commercial law and/or intellectual property and licensing agreements.
Experience in the space industry or another highly regulated technology sector would be a significant advantage. You must have strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
You should also have excellent commercial awareness and a pragmatic, business-oriented approach to legal problem-solving. Proven ability to work independently, manage a diverse workload, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and concisely to non-legal stakeholders, are also required.
A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a strong desire to learn and contribute to the growth of the company is necessary.
