Senior Fund Accountant - Private Markets
Our client, a specialist in private markets, are hiring a Senior Fund Accountant – Private Markets.
The ideal candidate will manage shadow accounting for private debt funds, oversee daily fund activities, and coordinate reconciliations with fund administrators. The role involves regular collaboration with colleagues across offices and interaction with professionals throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct monthly valuations, shadow accounting, and review performance/management fee calculations for private debt funds.
Manage FX exposure, budgeting, expense tracking, and transaction processing (capital calls, redemptions, dividends, etc.).
Reconcile data between stakeholders, maintain accurate databases, and ensure high-quality internal/external reports.
Mentor junior staff and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
Liaise with investment managers, advisors, and administrators to ensure smooth and accurate fund operations.
Key Requirements
5 years’ experience in fund accounting within private debt, private equity, or hedge fund sectors.
Proven background in fund accounting and/or custody operations in the above industries.
Holder of a professional designation such as CFA, CPA, or CAIA.
Enthusiastic about rapid learning in a technology-driven environment.
Skilled in FX hedging and complex performance/fee calculation models.
Strong analytical mindset, process-oriented, and proficient in IT systems and tools.
