Role Overview
Leadership and management of the Operations Team to achieve business goals and objectives on an ongoing basis, always seeking and implementing ways to improve. Promote teamwork and close collaboration across departments and people. Lead Operations Team performance reviews and improvements, plan and respond to forecasted demand. Drive and sustain high standards of work across the team. Coach, develop and performance-manage the team to deliver their goals. Ensure the wider Operations team is well-led, motivated and engaged to deliver value and service for customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Overall responsibility for production, warehouse, maintenance, hygiene, planning, label room
* Coaching and development of team members
* Drive performance to maximise safety, efficiency, quality, and compliance
* Maintain excellent communication with the team to set goals and targets continuously
* Work cross-functionally to set site standards across all areas of responsibility
* Design and rollout processes and procedures to maintain site standards
* Continuously improve to optimise ways of working, material flows, reduce waste and costs, and improve service
* Set culture by ensuring individuals and teams live the company values
* Ensure adequate processes to review and mitigate risks related to long-term labour, storage, and machine capacity
* Actively promote health & safety standards and contribute to a risk-free work environment
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Safety and performance of the production and warehouse
* Maintain a high standard of hygiene
What You’ll Need
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience
* Capability to run a fast-paced operation
* Experience in redesigning systems and processes and continuous improvement
* Confident and analytical mindset
* Experience in working in a cross-functional company with different reporting structures
* Ability to work under own initiative
* Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible in approach
* Committed to continuous personal development
* Ability to motivate, persuade, and influence the team
* Well-organised with strong time management skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
