Arcadis are seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator for an assignment located in Little Island, Cork. This is initially a 12-month contract. Part time position - 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
Supporting engineering and construction activities across the site
Ensuring compliance with Irish health and safety legislation and HSA regulations
Conducting regular site inspections and internal audits to assess risks and identify hazards
Providing HSE advice and support to managers, supervisors, and colleagues
Leading incident and accident investigations, producing clear reports and recommending preventative actions
Preparing and maintaining records and reports on auditing, safety inspections, and incident reports
Promoting a proactive safety-first culture through toolbox talks and regular staff engagement
Reviewing and approving RAMS, ensuring contractor paperwork is in place
Conducting safety audits and working with team leaders to reinforce safe work practices
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
Intermediate/Senior level in a relevant industry, preferably within Site Capital Projects Groups
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership qualities and ability to influence safety behaviour
Advanced IT skills, including AutoCAD and MS Office Suite
